Market Background Overview
As the cryptocurrency market rapidly evolves and the investor profile becomes increasingly diverse—ranging from early tech enthusiasts and speculators to today's retail investors and institutional participants—there is a growing demand for simpler, safer investment tools and effective data analytics support. To address this, we conducted a global market survey in the fourth quarter of 2023, encompassing 5,000 investors across North America, Europe, Asia, and other key markets. The survey utilized an online questionnaire format to deeply understand current market demands and investment behaviors.
Diversity and Choice of Trading Platforms: According to the survey, over 73% of respondents indicate they use both centralized (CEX) and decentralized exchanges (DEX). This preference highlights that investors, to capture more opportunities, often switch between different types of platforms to leverage their respective advantages, such as emerging tokens on DEXs and high liquidity assets on CEXs.
Urgent Need for Data Analysis Tools: More than 65% of investors feel underinformed in the crypto market, struggling to make informed investment decisions. This is especially true for novice investors who have a strong need for tools that provide real-time data analysis and market forecasts to reduce investment risks and increase operational confidence.
Importance and Impact of Sentiment Data: The survey reveals that over 81% of investors consider sentiment data crucial to their investment decisions, particularly how social media and news significantly influence market prices, sometimes with a single tweet causing substantial market fluctuations. For instance, Keith Gill’s disclosure of his GME stock and options positions, along with his announcement of a live broadcast on YouTube, caused the meme coin GME to surge, underscoring social media as a significant driver of cryptocurrency prices.
Desire for Innovative Trading Strategy Tools: Over 67% of respondents expressed high expectations for platform-provided quantitative strategy signals, copy trading, and marked strategy features. Investors hope to use these tools to optimize their trading strategies, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
Need for Investor Education and Information Transparency: Due to the market’s complexity and high risk, there is a significant demand for education and transparency, particularly among newcomers to the market who require more educational resources and transparent market information to better understand market dynamics.
Importance of Community Support and Interaction: Nearly half of the respondents expressed a desire to be part of an active investment community, seeking recognition and motivation through the exchange of experiences and sharing insights, thus enhancing their trading experience and investment confidence.
